| May 4, 2010 On behalf of the Support Our Troops Committee, I would like to like to extend our gratitude to LyVell Gipson for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance and sharing his time in Iraq and subsequent rehabilitation at Walter Reed Hospital and with Iraq Star, founded by Maggie Lockridge. His courage and humility were indeed humbling. FOR A LIST OF ITEMS NEEDED FOR PACKAGES TO SEND OUR TROOPS PLEASE CLICK HERE thegratitudecampaign How to Sign "Thank you from the bottom of my heart" To make the sign simply place your hand on your heart as though you're saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Then pull your hand down and out, bending at the elbow (not the wrist), stopping for a moment at about the belly button with your hand flat, palm up, angled toward the person you're thanking. (visual ASL) SUPPORTING EMAILS AND WEBSITES FOR THE TROOPS AND VETERANS Adopt a service member. We want every Soldier, Marine, Airman, Sailor and Guardsman to hear their names called at Mail Call. Our dedicated members “adopt” one or more Service Members and then support them for the length of their deployment. http://www.tellthemthanks.com/ If you served in the military between 1959 and 1975 then you are a Vietnam veteran, and the General Patton Memorial Museum would like your name etched into the black granite plaques of the Wall.
