Linda is a California native and moved to La Quinta in March 2003. She was appointed to the La Quinta City Council in June 2009 to complete a term through November 2010. She is a candidate for La Quinta City Council and requests your vote on November 2, 2010. She also is Chair of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency and a member of the Joint Powers Authority-Convention & Visitors Authority. While City Government is non-partisan, Linda is a registered Republican and believes our future generations need to get involved to help save America. Stepping up is what she has done and she continues to work hard to make positive changes for the future of La Quinta, while ensuring fiscal conservatism, balanced budgets, effective cost management and thoughtful business/economic growth. Linda has worked in the healthcare industry for 22 years, spending the last 15 years in hospital administration. She is the Director of Physician and Community Development at JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio and has worked for JFK's parent company, Tenet Healthcare Corporation, at four other hospitals in Southern California. linda@electlindaevans.com www.electlindaevans.com (download flyer)

Sheila dedicated her career of public service to improving life for the citizens of Palm Desert. First as City Clerk, then Assistant City Manager, Sheila was a driving force behind many of the very important community services and programs that have enriched the community. Sheila now wants to continue serving you and Palm Desert by vigorously applying the experience and knowledge gained from her distinguished career as a member of the Palm Desert City Council. Sheila believes the combination of her built-in understanding of the City’s complexities and the people’s needs, her fair-minded attitude, even-handed style and unquestionable reputation are all qualities that will enhance Palm Desert’s government. If you agree it is simple and common sense to expect that your elected offi cials be aware, credible, honest, respectable, experienced, and knowledge while placing the needs of the city and the expectations of the citizens foremost, then Sheila Gilligan asks for your support. Help elect Sheila Gilligan, she will act as you would act. Respected Palm Desert Councilmen Bob Spiegel and Dick Kelly agree Sheila Gilligan is the best choice on the ballot for City Council and is the only candidate they endorse. www.sheilagilligan.com

A desert resident since 1977, Jan believes in public service and has emerged as a community leader. She is president of the Palm Desert High School Foundation, a board member of The Girlfriend Factor, serves on the DSUSD Finance Committee, the Joslyn Center Program Committee, and is a member of the Palm Desert Noon Rotary Club and long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She has watched the valley evolve and believes it is essential to engage our residents and provide an environment that welcomes new and creative ideas. As a business owner, Jan knows the importance of public safety, strong positive relationships with businesses and colleagues, fiscal responsibility and strategic planning for the future. Jan and her husband have raised their four daughters in Palm Desert and understand why it is imperative to focus on the vital issues of our community and protect our quality of life. At age 54, Jan Harnik has never been in politics, yet as a candidate for Palm Desert City Council she has earned the support of elected officials, civic commissioners and business leaders throughout the Coachella Valley. She asks for your support and your vote on November 2. Senator Bill Emmerson says it best, “Jan Harnik represents the future of Palm Desert. Her common-sense approach to problem solving, her fiscal conservatism, and her commitment to making city government accountable make her uniquely qualified and I'm honored to endorse her”.
